Termini Station
The area surrounding the principal train station of Rome is a real and proper epicenter of life, commerce and cultural exchange. There are many hotels of all ratings (especially budget hotels and low cost Bed and Breakfasts). From here it is very easy to reach every part of the city thanks to the large number of buses and subway lines. Nearby, at Piazza della Republicca, there is a Romanesque church, S. Maria degli Angeli (St. Mary of the Angels) and in front of the fountain of the fountain of the Piazza begins Via Nazionale, a long thoroughfare full of shops which finishes at Piazza Venezia. The area surrounding Termini Station, as many of the neighborhoods near the station is a bit dangerous at night; it is heavily advised to be on the alert for pickpockets.
