Welcome to the holiday home “La Campanella”, named after the alley in which the flat is located, a silent street in the centre of Rome. The “Rione Ponte” is the name of the ancient district that will host you. It stretches from the bridge (ponte in Italian - hence the name) of Castel Sant’Angelo to the ancient heart of Rome. The statues of the bridge will accompany you on a short walk across the river Tiber to our home “La Campanella”. From there, you will enjoy loosing yourself in the maze of alleys, and be fascinated by the historical antiques and clothes shops, until unexpectedly behind a corner you will find yourself face to face with the magnificence of Piazza Navona. And if you feel like visiting a lively marketplace, you may have a look at the characteristic Campo de’ Fiori, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Leaving the district, at a comfortable walking distance, you can easily reach the most important places of historic and archaeological interest, such as the Vatican, but also the Pantheon and, from there, the Imperial Fora of ancient Rome. At night, the unique atmosphere of the Roman nightlife will bewitch you. Each day for dinner you may choose between many different and typical places, as the Rione Ponte is full of restaurants and places to go after eating. If you wish to move a little further, you can also easily reach Trastevere, the ancient district which today hosts the Roman “movida” and the restaurants that make us famous worldwide. Do not forget, though, to wander through the alleys of the Eternal City, with their surprising corners, and to breathe the fresh evening air which wishes you goodnight... The flat is furnished with taste and care granting a pleasant stay for couples, families or friends. It has a large living-room with a fireplace and a comfortable sofa bed, an equipped kitchen corner, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. Guests will be responsible for the daily cleaning of the flat. The flat is equipped with independent heating, air conditioning, TV-LCD, Internet wi-fi, microwave, washing machine, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
